After the seven Gods had perished, almost nothing was left of their magnificent Land of Spirits. The sky had lost its motion and all seasons had turned into one. An eternal winter ruled the ever more barren plains of the earth while continuous sandstorms colored the heavens red. Only a few Mano and Inya settlements had been able to survive, and these were under continuous attack by the Guyins who had been relentless in their pursuit for revenge on humankind. One of these settlements was the Mano mountain village of Arundar, which had been founded and was ruled by the Oracle Aysuna Syen, a descendent of Psikar, God of the Spirit, and her husband Yokim Dayon. The Oracle’s ability to see glimpses of the future had allowed them to lead her nomadic community to a strategically located plateau in the Nirala Mountains with a large underground water reservoir and sufficient food sources to survive. There, both strategized on how to defend themselves against the continuous attacks from the Guyins.
